Insolite, vous avez dit insolite?

Un astronaute sur la façade d´une église espagnole du XVIeme siècle?

Voici ma participation au concours photo organisé par Gilsoub et Jathénaïs sur le thème de l´insolite. Il n´y a rien a gagner si ce n´est le plaisir de participer et de découvrir les clichés d´autres photographes.

Il s´agit de la facade rénovée de la Cathédrale de Salamanque. En 1992, lors de la restauration de la partie basse de la "Puerta de Ramos" les tailleurs de pierres et les restaurateurs ont choisi de garder le style décorative plateresque mais ont introduit des éléments contemporains, comme l'astronaute, le dragon qui mange une glace, une cigogne, un chien...

El astronauta se puede encontrar en la puerta de Ramos de la Catedral nueva de Salamanca. En 1992, cuando se restauró la Puerta de Ramos, muy deteriorada por el paso del tiempo, los canteros decidieron guardar el estilo plateresco pero introdujeron elemento contemporáneos como un astronauta, un dragón comiendo un helado, o una cigüeña.

An astronaut on the facade of a 16^th century spanish church.

I am participating to the photo contest organized by Gilsoub and Jathenais, the theme is bizarre. There is nothing to win, exept having fun and discover other odd pictures.

This photo shot is from the restoration Salamanca´s New Cathedral. In 1992, while restoring the Puerta de Ramos stonemasons kept the traditional plateresque style but introduce contemporary carved adorns such as the astronaut, a dragon eating an ice cream, a stork, a dog.
